Making each day a new and exciting adventure to learn.

Little Leaps Learning Academy serves children from 6 weeks to 12 years of age.

Our Services

  • Fun and Educational Curriculum

When Jake and Paula took over the facility, this was one of the first things that Paula poured herself into. We used to allow the staff to create their lesson plans, but Paula found these new lesson plans that have everything we wanted the children to do daily all rolled into one, along with weekly themes and educational fun. The lesson plans are a fun, easy way for the staff to bring themes into the building and for the children see to enjoy it.

  • Free Preschool

We offer 12 free hours of preschool to children who qualify. Our teacher, who recently graduated with her Master’s degree in early childhood education, works closely with the school district to ensure that each preschooler is ready to take the next step to kindergarten. We will be offering two classes: an AM and PM this year.

  • Free Meals Food Program

We are part of the CACFP, which allows us to feed families free of charge. Many daycares in the area have gone to charging for food for their families on top of their daycare rates. Our food program director is amazing and has worked hard over the years to come up with healthy menus that the children still enjoy eating. Holly works closely with the CACFP guidelines, which promotes different foods, including fruits, vegetables, and meats daily.

  • Trained Staff

When starting, all of our staff are given three months to complete mandatory DHS requirements, including Mandatory Reporter, Universal Precautions, Essentials Training, and CPR/First Aid. Also, each year, our staff conducts a certain number of hours in continuing education.

  • Transportation

All four of our centers provide transportation to community schools. Our Key West center provides transportation to Tablemound, Bryant, and Saint Columbkille. Our Locust center travels to Lincoln, Irving, Eisenhower, Hoover, Prescott, Marshall, and Audubon.

  • Affordable Rates

Our childcare rates vary by age and range from $4.50-$5.00 per hour. We do require a minimum of 31 hours for all care except for school-age children during the school year.

Both of our centers offer a nursery, toddler room, two-year, three-year, four-year, and school-age rooms.

  • Great Communication

Communication between our teachers and parents is important to us. We stay in contact daily with parents, as well as use the ProCare app to help facilitate communication.

  • Safe & Secure

Each of our centers has a secure entrance to provide added safety for your child.

What Parents Are Saying

"One of the best feelings I have is seeing my children happy. That is what I see when I pick up my babies every day! I see teachers sitting down and interacting with the children. I hear every employee that walks by, acknowledge my children by their name. I see my girls hug their teachers and their friends. I can see that they are happy, and I know that they are safe! Little Leaps staff is more than a daycare worker, a teacher, a bus driver, or a cook. They are everything to my children when I am at work. I am truly grateful for each of them.”

“When my daughter Brynlee started at Little Leaps a little over a year ago, all the staff welcomed us like family. The staff is always so accommodating to our needs. Brynlee is excited every day to go to daycare, and she can't wait to see her teachers and friends. They do fun activities with the kids and have the opportunity to go on field trips during the summer. When I pick up Brynlee in the afternoon, she always tells me it was "the best day ever.” We love that the Little Leaps staff get to know the kiddos in their care and the family. We couldn't ask for a better center for our daughter.”

“The staff at little leaps are very caring. My son always looks forward to going to daycare every day.”
